Penerapan Metode Tiawati Terhadap Kemampuan Membaca Al-Qur’an di TPA Baitussholihin Kecamatan Metro Timur
ABSTRACT
Currently, many of the methods used to teach students to read the Koran
tend to be conventional, such as speaking in a straightforward tone so that
the language conveyed sounds monotonous and boring, which has an
impact on how well students receive the lesson, this has been found in
students at Baitussholihin Metro East TPA. So to find a solution to this
problem, namely by using the tilawati method in learning to read the Al-
Qur’an. The problem identification for this research is the lack of quality of
santri reading in reading the Al-Qur’an and santri reading which tends to
use a straight tone with the problem formulation "How to Apply the
Tilawati Method to Improve the Ability to Read the Al-Qur’an at TPA
Baitussholihin Metro Timur". And the aim of this research is to find out
how the tilawati method is applied to the ability to read the Koran at
Baitussholihin TPA. This research uses qualitative field research methods
which aim to research and determine the extent of the role of schools in
implementing character education at Baitussholihin TPA, East Metro
District. The data sources for this research are primary data sources
(ustadz/ustadzah, assistant teachers, and students) and secondary data
sources. This research data collection technique uses interview, observation
and documentation methods. The technique for guaranteeing data validity
uses triangulation techniques. Based on the results of the researcher's
analysis of this problem, the results of this research can be concluded as
follows: The application of the Tilawati Method in Al-Qur’an Learning at
TPA Batusholihin is going quite well, namely students can read the Al-
Qur’an fluently, correctly in pronunciation makhorijul letters and
recitation, and when reading the Koran it sounds more enthusiastic and
beautiful thanks to the rost songs in the tilawati method. This is the impact
of teaching and learning activities which are managed quite well by the
teacher as well as complete learning media, teaching staff and the
enthusiasm and activeness of the students in the Tilawati class in
participating in the learning process.
